What conditions qualify?

Patients who have debilitating conditions such as cancer, epilepsy, chronic muscle spasms, glaucoma, PTSD, AIDS, HIV, ALS, Crohn’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and other debilitating conditions of the same kind or class, or for which a physician believes the benefits outweigh the risk.

Examinations required?

The physical exam requirements are the decision of the marijuana doctor. The physical exam can vary. By law 2 appointments are required before you can qualify.

What about medical records?

Yes, medical records are for medical marijuana in Florida. Patients need documentation supporting they have the above mentioned medical cannabis conditions. They can bring in patient notes, labs, imaging etc. All records must be current within the last 12 months that document your qualifying condition.

Doctor's specialization?

Since Amendment 2 has passed, the physician does not now need to be a specialist but must have a current medical license and additional certification by taking the 8-hour physician cannabis course. Our doctor is very well versed in medical marijuana and teaches other physicians on specifics such as strain, delivery method and dosage schedules.

Certification Appointments

By law 2 appointments*** are required before you can qualify. Our physicians will further evaluate you with a physical exam and thorough consultation. By law our physicians must only discuss your qualifications for the program.

***There is a 90 day waiting period by law to receive your Medical Marijuana recommendation, once this is completed you will be able to receive your prescription.
